PARAMETERS FOR DEFINING DG SET RATING
DEFINITIONS
EMERGENCY STANDBY POWER
This rating is designed for emergency power for the duration of utility failures with maximum operating hours of 200. Allowed average load factor is 70% of the standby rating over 24 hours running.
LIMITED TIME PRIME POWER
This rating is applicable for DG set running hours more than 200 per year and lesser than 500 Hours per year. In this rating variable load is not acceptable and maximum load acceptable load is 100% overload is not permitted in this rating.

PRIME RATED POWER
This rating is specifically designed for DG set operating hours are more than 500 Hours (Unlimited operating hours) per year and available load is variable load with average load factor of 70% average. This rating offers 10% over load for 1 hour in every 12 hour operations.
CONTINOUS OPERATING POWER
This rating is offered for continuous power requirement and non variable load. Rating can be operated for 100% load continuous and with out overloading of DG set rating.
DATA CENTER CONTINOUS POWER
This ratings are offered as per Data Centerapplication requirement. Load details and operating hours are discussed during design stage and it can be agreed by Customer and Manufacturer to meet customer requirement.
